Privacy Policy
Last updated May 31, 2026 · Version 1
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Temaruco Ltd (RC 6962683) ("DoovoX", "we") handles your personal information when you use the DoovoX platform. It is designed to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and the NDPR. By using DoovoX you acknowledge this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide and information generated as you use DoovoX, including: your name, email address and phone number; profile and account information; worker skills/service information; task and job information (descriptions, budgets, schedules, one-time vs ongoing details); approximate location (for matching) and the specific address you provide for a job; photos/images you upload; in-app messages/chat; transaction and payment-related information; device information; push notification tokens; fraud/security signals; support communications; and analytics about how you use the app.
We only collect a type of information where the app actually uses it. Sensitive card/bank credentials are handled by our payment partner and are not stored in full on our servers.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to create and manage your account; to interpret task descriptions and match Hirers with Workers; to secure escrow, release payouts, apply the 10% commission and process refunds; to manage Ongoing jobs and early-termination settlements including the 72-hour window; to resolve disputes; to send transactional and relevant communications; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; to comply with law; and to improve the Platform.
4. Location Information
With your permission we use your location to show relevant nearby jobs, calculate distance and improve matching. You control when you share location and can enter it manually instead. Importantly, workers who have not yet been accepted for a job see only the information needed to judge relevance — such as the area/neighbourhood and distance. A hirer's full private job address is only revealed to the worker who has been accepted/approved for that job.
5. Payments and Transactions
Payments are processed by our licensed payment partner. We store transaction records (amounts, status, related task, payout and commission details) needed to operate escrow, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. We do not store full card details on our servers.
6. Communications
We use in-app messaging, email and push notifications to send transactional messages, service updates, security alerts and, where you allow it, relevant opportunity and marketing messages. You can manage notification and marketing preferences in the app and on your device.
7. How Information May Be Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed: with other users to complete a task (relevant profile details, task messages and, at the right stage, the job address); with our payment partner; with cloud/storage and email providers; with our AI provider to interpret task descriptions (only what is necessary); with DoovoX Administrators under Role-Based Access Control for support, safety and dispute resolution; with authorities where legally required; and in a business transfer subject to safeguards.
8. Service Providers
We rely on trusted providers including a payment processor (Flutterwave), cloud object storage (AWS S3), an email delivery service, and an AI language provider. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate obligations. Some may process data outside Nigeria with appropriate safeguards.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as password hashing, encryption in transit, access controls and Role-Based Access Control for administrative functions. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute obligations. Active account data is kept while your account is active; transaction and financial records are kept for the period required by law; dispute/settlement evidence is kept for a reasonable period after resolution. When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Settings → General → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing support@doovox.net. We verify your identity and require any active tasks, escrow, payouts, disputes or settlements to be resolved first. Once cleared, your profile and personal identifiers are permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized, typically within 30 days, while records required by law (e.g. transaction, tax, fraud and dispute records) may be retained in the minimum form necessary. See the public account-deletion page for details.
12. Your Rights
Subject to law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data, object to certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). To exercise your rights, contact support@doovox.net.
13. Children's Privacy / Age Requirements
DoovoX is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
14. International Transfers
Where data is processed outside Nigeria by our providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected consistent with the NDPA and NDPR.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy and will notify you of material changes through the Platform or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
